Product Updates – Week of June 9th

Listed below are a few of the updates we’ve released in Towbook over the past week.

Report Changes

  • You can now click on an item in the Truck Expense Report to see all the individual expenses.
  • Updated the graph for the Call Analysis report, correcting a date range filter problem.
  • Added column sorting with an arrow to indicate which column the report is currently sorted by (for most reports).

Call Search

  • The call search filters were updated for Scheduled Calls, expanding the results to include the scheduled date and the completion date of calls.

Truck Expense Recording

  • Any uploaded files or receipts can now be viewed on the expense screen.
  • We updated the delete expense option to make it more usable.

Email History

Towbook now tracks every time you send a receipt to your customers. You can view the history (list) of emails sent for each call by clicking on the call in Dispatching and then clicking on Email (see below).

Pricing Rules

You can now add pricing rules for your accounts in Towbook, saving time and eliminating the chance for forgotten charges.

This new feature makes it simple to automatically include invoice items on calls created for specific accounts and reason codes. Pricing rules can also be set up to automatically add charges after a period of time has passed – for example you can automatically add an Admin Charge to impounds that have been in storage for more than 2 days.

Customer Notification Window

Today we released a customer notification feature in Towbook. This new tool will help keep everyone aware of updates and important information about the Towbook, including new features, system alerts and great product reminders.

Email Files from Towbook

Today we released the ability for users to include files that have been uploaded to a call when emailing receipts or invoices from Towbook. You can simply click which files you want to include when you send the email to automatically include them in the message.

Android Release #26

Listed below are a few of the changes made in this latest release of the Towbook Android App.

1. We completely redesigned the status update screens, making it much easier for drivers to update the status of a call. The new status screen also captures and displays the status times and makes selecting the next status easier by pre-setting it for the driver, eliminating another click.

Product Updates – Week of May 26th

Listed below are a few of the updates we’ve released in Towbook over the past week.

Report Changes

  • Changed the graph on the Dispatch Analysis Report to include exact same date range as the filter for the report.

Settings Updates

  • Revised wording in Driver setup to make adding a user account for drivers more clear.
  • Expanded the fields for Impound Lots to accommodate longer addresses.
  • Changed the term “Default Rate” to “Standard Rate” to make it more obvious to users when setting up a rate item.

Dispatching

  • Revised how the time picker works when adding the date and time for an Impound in Dispatching. You can now scroll up or down and the start time is pre-set to begin at the current time.
  • Added an option to Pay in Full to the bottom of the Dispatch screen and to the Complete Call screen.
  • Made it easier to change an account on a call. When you click on the filed now the original account is automatically selected and you can easily select the new account name.

Storage Rules

  • We updated storage rules to correct a problem with the midnight setting for when to charge the next day of storage.

Product Updates – Week of May 19th

Listed below are a few of the updates we’ve released in Towbook over the past week.

  • Changed Record Payment Screen so you can not click on a column heading to sort by that column.
  • Use Impound Receipt when opening an Impound from the Dispatching Section.
  • Added Release Date to Modify Impound screen so you can adjust the release date if an error was made. Note: this does NOT affect the charges for the call. If you need to change the charges on a call you must do that manually after the call was released.
  • Updated Storage Rules to allow more options for when storage calculations should start.
  • Added each Impound Lot to the export for Dispatch Analysis and Call Analysis Reports. Previously, we did not include the Impound Lot on this export.

Bill to Account

Did you know that you can now set the “Bill to” Account on calls in Dispatching? We added a + next to the Account field, simply click that + and the Bill to field will appear and you can add the account that will pay for the job to the call.

Added Signature from Mobile Apps to Invoices

Today we launched the ability to automatically include signatures captured on the Towbook Mobile Apps on Invoices in Towbook.

When driver use the signature pad on the Towbook mobile app, that signature is added to the receipt instantly and appears when the invoice is emailed or printed.
