Today we announced a great new feature for Towbook Customers – our new Towbook for Android App.
Our Android app makes it super-easy to use Towbook on any Android phone or tablet. (If you’re using an iPhone — don’t worry, an iPhone/iPad app is in the works)
Dispatching is one of the most important features that customers use when they’re mobile, and our new app is perfect for receiving, viewing and updating Dispatching calls when your drivers are on the road.
Some of the features you can look forward to:
- Receive calls instantly Rather than relying on text messages, you can send calls directly to a drivers phone running Towbook.
- Upload Photos With the mobile app, you can now snap photos of a vehicle and have them uploaded to Towbook automatically associating them with the tow ticket they’re on.
- VIN Barcode Scanning Towbook lets you scan the barcoded VIN on newer vehicles, eliminating the need to write the VIN in by hand.
- VIN Decoding When you fill in a 17-digit VIN, either by scanning it or typing it, Towbook will automatically fill in the year, make and model.
- Mobile Invoice Printing With select Zebra printers, you can print receipts wirelessly — avoiding the need for your drivers to hand-write tickets.
