We just launched the ability for you to open an invoice directly from the Commission Report. Simply click on the Call # and the invoice for that call will be opened in a new window. This makes it much easier to review and resolve questions about invoices when you’re working on commissions.

We made an update that allows you to apply payments when you add a completed call in Towbook. This saves you a lot of time because you don’t have to re-open the call to apply the payments – you can do everything when you add the call to the system.

We just launched a great new feature in Towbook called Plate to VIN. Now, all you have to do is add a valid license plate number and the state for the vehicle and the system will return the full VIN plus the make, model and year of the vehicle.
On the Towbook mobile apps, you can add the plate number plus the state and the last 3 of the VIN and the system will return the full VIN plus the make, model and year.

Our new Daily Activity Report is designed to give you key company performance data. You can run the report for a specific day or you can also select a date range.
The report generates summary data too so you can see important totals at a glance.

We’ve made some updates to the Accounts Section of Towbook designed to make managing your accounts easier and more convenient.
Voiding Payments. You can now quickly and easily void a payment under the accounts section in Towbook. To void a payment, simply go to the account in Towbook then click on the payment you want to remove and the option to Void the payment is at the bottom of the screen. An example is shown below. We’ve made searching impounds in Towbook easier and faster. Now you can simply type a call number in the top search box and click search to locate an impound record. This new feature works for current and released impounds.

Towbook has been updated to include new ways to set and manage storage fee calculations. The new features will support companies who have complex rules for vehicle storage, including situations where you have tiered rates and charge different rates for periods of time after a vehicle is placed into storage.
We also made it possible for you to set rates for different types of storage, like indoor and outdoor or secured on unsecured.

We released several updates to the Towbook Reporting section last week. Most importantly, we changed how Report Exporting works.
The first change is the Export Button has been moved to the top of the page so it’s easier to find. See the image below to see where the export button is now located.
The second big change for Report Exporting is your reports will now export to Excel. Most people are more familiar with Excel and it’s more user-friendly and better for saving format changes.
