In today’s update we moved the Contact Field up on the dispatch page, placing it directly below the Account Fields. This makes it so you can add contact information immediately when you receive the call.

Towbook now supports the use of multiple tax rates for companies who do calls in areas that require different rates based on where a call is completed. To add multiple tax rates, simply go to Settings in Towbook, click on Pricing and then select Sales Tax and choose the option to configure multiple tax rates.

We just launched the ability for you to open an invoice directly from the Commission Report. Simply click on the Call # and the invoice for that call will be opened in a new window. This makes it much easier to review and resolve questions about invoices when you’re working on commissions.

We made an update that allows you to apply payments when you add a completed call in Towbook. This saves you a lot of time because you don’t have to re-open the call to apply the payments – you can do everything when you add the call to the system.

We just launched a great new feature in Towbook called Plate to VIN. Now, all you have to do is add a valid license plate number and the state for the vehicle and the system will return the full VIN plus the make, model and year of the vehicle.
On the Towbook mobile apps, you can add the plate number plus the state and the last 3 of the VIN and the system will return the full VIN plus the make, model and year.

Did you know that you can easily email photos of impounded vehicles to your accounts? You can either send a full invoice (with all details) and photos or you can send a summary invoice with photos. This really helps with accounts communication and is even required in some states.
To send an invoice and photos, simply click on an Impound and then click on “Email Invoice/Photos”, a box will appear that gives you the option to choose either option.

Our new Daily Activity Report is designed to give you key company performance data. You can run the report for a specific day or you can also select a date range.
The report generates summary data too so you can see important totals at a glance.

We’ve made some updates to the Accounts Section of Towbook designed to make managing your accounts easier and more convenient.
Voiding Payments. You can now quickly and easily void a payment under the accounts section in Towbook. To void a payment, simply go to the account in Towbook then click on the payment you want to remove and the option to Void the payment is at the bottom of the screen. An example is shown below.
